Winter has come to Southwest Colorado and left its mark on Disappointment Valley and Spring Creek Basin.
Mustangs are well adapted to handle the rigors as well as bounty of their wild life. But it’s still good to see them taking the cold and snow in stride!
This is Chrome, looking back at his band on another hill. The low light was just right to warm up the late golden grasses against the blues of the shadowed snow and Chrome’s silver coat.
Oh, so handsome.

What a gorgeous hunk of stallion he is. Such indescribable beauty!
Oh, that golden Colorado light! Aren’t you lucky! I love that state.
Chrome close up is wild beauty at it’s best. Gosh, this is one of my favorite images. Really. I know I say that all the time. 😉
The longer the mane the better!!
As usual, lovely photos.
Beautiful shots–he is a good looking stallion! Thanks for sharing these. Sandy

What a beautiful example of nature at it’s best.
Love the light and the colors in this shot. Awesome. Well done, TJ. 🙂
Chrome is one of my favorite stallions. So handsome and good to his family. 🙂
Yowza! 😉 Gorgeous Mr. Chrome! I’ve always been a sucker for Chrome. His gentle gaze & his pink nose! Sigh…
